Whether it will be your first time on a jet ski or you're already an experienced rider the RYA Jetski (PWC) proficiency course is for you! It is the perfect environment to learn new skills or brush up your current techniques. This course covers a wide range of skills and knowledge required to be 'safe afloat' whether that is on a lake or on the sea. Increasingly the RYA certificate is required for launching, but is also the basis of the International Certificate of Competence if you want to use a jetski abroad, this certificate is often referred to as the RYA jetski licence or RYA PWC licence. It is also the pre-requisite to completing the RYA Jetski (PWC) Instructor Course.
Minimum Age: 12 with accompanying adult on board the craft
Prior Experience/knowledge: None
1 day (Approx 09:00 - 17:00)

1 day of tuition from an RYA PWC Instructor
Use of a Yamaha Jetski (PWC) - 1 x PWC : 2 people
RYA PWC Handbook (1 x p.p.)
RYA PWC Proficiency Certificate (assuming successful completion)

Use of a Buoyancy Aid
Use of Wetsuit Shoes
Optional RYA VHF marine radio online course
Maximum 2 people per PWC (jetski)

International Certificate of Competence (I.C.C.)
If you are planning on hiring a PWC or taking your own PWC to Europe then once you have completed your RYA PWC Proficiency Course you can apply for an RYA I.C.C. which is the certificate required by local authorities in most European Countries.
