Fancy the idea of taking your powerboat out a night or during the hours of darkness, perhaps to watch a firework display, have a romantic dinner or perhaps some star gazing? There are a whole bunch of new considerations to make when powerboating at night and some new bits to learn to keep you, your passengers and your boat safe.. we are therefore offering the opportunity to experience this for perhaps the first time with a qualified RYA Advanced Powerboat Instructor by your side to ensure you have the best experience possible.
We offer night powerboat sessions to suit your and a friend/partner's requirements. If you're interested in getting your first experience of handling at powerboat in the hours of darkness then this is the session for you.

Maximum Powerboat Size: 10m
Pre-requisites:
RYA Powerboat Level 2 Certificate
Minimum Age: 17 years
Ability after the session: Gain initial experience in operating a powerboat in the hours of darkness.
Practical night powerboating session overview:
Pre-Departure:
- Knowledge check on IRPCS (rules of the road)
- Briefing on vessel navigation lights and buoyage lights
- Powerboat & personal preparation to go afloat
- Briefing from your instructor
Afloat:
- Handle a powerboat in the hours of darkness within Poole Harbour
- Identify Buoys & Landmarks whilst afloat
What's included:
- RYA Advanced Powerboat Instructor
- Use of a lifejacket w/light
- 2 hour session
