RYA powerboat instructor skills ASSESSMENT

This assessment is a pre-entry requirement for the RYA Powerboat Instructor course and includes the opportunity to brush up on your personal powerboat handling skills. A high standard of driving, seamanship and personal knowledge is required - all to the ability of Powerboat Level 2. 

We know its not always easy to jump into a new boat and that you may be a little rusty in your RYA powerboat handling skills, so we offer the option to complete a 0.5 day refresher session + 0.5 day skills assessment; or if you're confident of your skills then you can choose to opt to head straight onto the 0.5 day skills assessment. 

Minimum Age: 16

Pre-requisites: RYA Powerboat level 2 certificate, Background knowledge to level of RYA Essential Navigation & Seamanship course

Duration: 0.5 or 1 day

If you meet all the pre-requisites but are still unsure as to whether you're at the required level to pass the skills assessment, feel free to drop us an email detailing your experience & knowledge levels, we will then beable to revert accordingly with suggestions on what to practice prior.
