Day 1: 09:00 - 17:00

What to bring:
Theory / shorebased sessions will be completed outside our portakabin maintaining 1m+ distancing.
DAY 1 :
Afloat: Personal equipment and buoyancy, Introduction to the boat & equipment, familiarisation session.
Ashore: Meterology, Rules of the Road (IRPCS) including vessel lights. Creation of short Passage / Pilotage Plan
Afloat: Carry out a short passage using traditional and electronic navigation equipment during day light hours at higher speed. Including the use of waypoints, routes. Use leading & clearing lines, transits, back bearings and soundings to aid pilotage.
Ashore: Preparation of Passage / Pilotage Plan for Night exercise.
DAY 1 EVENING:
Afloat: Carry out night navigation exercise. Identify lit and unlit positions.
DAY 2:
Ashore: Emergency Situations
Marina: Engines, Hull & propellor configurations
Afloat: Picking up a Mooring, Man Overboard, Marina Work including: Turning in a confined space, Berthing in various conditions.
