What's included in the course fees?
- RYA PWC Proficiency course for up to 6* students
- An RYA instructor for the duration of the course
- RYA PWC handbook for each candidate
- RYA certificate (upon successful completion) for each candidate
*RYA ratios will be maintained (Max 2 students per PWC)
What's not included in the fees?
- Instructor travel expenses & subsistence
- Overnight accommodation if required
Joining instructions
What you will need on the day
- Passport photo with your name printed on the reverse
- Swimmers & towel
- Footwear (wetsuit boots or similar)
- Wetsuit
- Impact buoyancy aid (50N with CE or EN393 marking)
Requirements for onboard training
Country & area requirements:
Permission to use PWC (jetski)
Adequate insurance
Kit requirements:
PWC/s (jetski/s)
Tender /rescue boat with relevant safety equipment
4 x high visibility marker buoys
1 x 6m floating tow rope
Chart of local area & plotting equipment
Impact buoyancy aid for each student (50 Newtons)
Wetsuit/appropriate clothing for each student
Teaching ratios:
Maximum 6 students (sit-down PWC)
1 sit-down PWC (jetski) for every 2 students
OR Maximum 3 students (stand up PWC)
1 stand-up per student
